Update:
Thank you to all who donated! We raised $3,138 and were able to fulfill their wishes! Here are just some of what was delivered to this six young adults on Christmas Eve!
— ORIGINAL STORY —
Each year, BackStreets Sports Bar finds a way to give back. This year we are raising funds to adopt six teens who have recently aged out of Florida’s foster care system.
Through December 22nd, we’ll be collecting funds to purchase items from their real wish lists. You can donate at the bar. Or, if you’re unable to visit BackStreets in the coming weeks, we’ve setup a PayPal page for online donations. No amount is too small.

Items on wish lists include an adult bicycle, so a teen can upgrade from her kid’s bike to get around town, a video door bell for safety, and an iPad for one teen who is currently enrolled in classes and needs technology to keep up with the rest of the students.
Please note that BackStreets is in the process of purchasing the gifts as donations come in, and is taking advantage of special offers from retailers so the total money – the goal is $3,600 – can be stretched as far as possible. Items will then be wrapped and delivered to each of the teens.
